Jacob Donoghue, MD, PhD
CEO & Co-Founder
Jacob bridges scientific innovation and clinical application, drawing on deep expertise in neuroscience, medicine, and technology. He earned his MD from Harvard and PhD from MIT, where his research explored how neuroactive compounds influence brain networks. His published work spans epilepsy, cognition, and machine learning for quantifying drug effects—expertise he now brings to building transformative solutions to better serve patients.
Jarrett Revels
CTO & Co-Founder
Jarrett has spent his career dedicated to making good science go farther, faster. Prior to co-founding Beacon, his research at MIT spawned new compiler techniques now leveraged by many modern machine learning frameworks. Today, his open-source work continues to help thousands of scientists and engineers carry out new simulations and explore new ideas.
Matt Alkaitis, MD, PhD
Chief Clinical Officer
Dr. Alkaitis brings extensive experience from roles at McKinsey and Google Health and has been a key leader at Beacon since 2019. He maintains a part-time clinical practice in internal medicine at Stanford. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
David Matthews, PhD
Chief Business Officer
David has over 20 years of experience in life sciences, previously serving as CCO at BrightInsight, Partner at Boston Consulting Group in Biopharma and Medical Diagnostics, and NSF- and NIH-funded neuroscientist with degrees from UCSD, the Salk Institute, and Princeton University.
Alex Chan, PhD
VP of Analytics and Machine Learning
Alexander led the Health Technologies algorithms team at Apple, where he was responsible for delivering sleep tracking for the Apple Watch. He received his PhD in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
Emily Mitchell
VP of Clinical Study Operations Service
Emily has 20 years of experience in the operational delivery of clinical trials. Her extensive background leading a global Clinical Research Organization decentralized trial team has enabled her to cultivate a deep commitment to patient-centric approaches in clinical research.
Ilan Goodman PhD
VP of Platform
Ilan has spent almost two decades building data and machine learning-driven products across a diverse set of industries. Ilan received his PhD from Rice University where he studied information theory and computational neuroscience.
Leticia Soto
VP of Quality
Lety has over 20 years experience in Quality and compliance for globally regulated products, including SaMD. She is a flexible thinker who enjoys implementing quality systems and working on patient centered solutions, while embracing an all-in mentality.
Yongbo Wang
VP of Hardware
Yongbo is a seasoned engineering leader with over two decades of experience in developing innovative medical devices. Prior to joining Beacon, Yongbo held pivotal roles at Teladoc Health, Bigfoot Biomedical, and Medtronic Diabetes, where he led teams in designing and delivering cutting-edge healthcare technologies.

Caitlin Donovan
Partner, General Catalyst
Caitlin is a healthcare leader committed to making care more accessible, proactive, and affordable. Most recently, she led Uber Health as Global Head, scaling its platform across multiple benefit categories and populations.She has held senior operating roles in medical transportation, home health, and post-acute care, and began her career as an investor at Bain Capital and Summit Partners. Caitlin holds a degree in Economics from Harvard and lives in Dover, Massachusetts, with her husband and two sons.
Naveen Rao, PhD
Former CEO, MosaicML
Naveen is an entrepreneur, technologist, AI expert, and the founder and CEO of MosaicML (acq. Databricks 2023). He previously founded Nervana Systems (acq. Intel 2016), a startup focused on hardware and software optimizations for neural networks. Nervana formed the basis of Intel AI. Naveen holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Brown University.
